I came to UX design through a career centered on people, communication, and connection. My background includes a degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Spelman College, volunteer work in an occupational therapy practice, and over 15 years as a small business owner and mentor. These experiences shaped my curiosity about how people express themselves, navigate different environments, and build trust. Running a service-based business taught me to listen closely, recognize spoken (and unspoken) needs, and create experiences that help people feel understood.

That perspective now shapes my UX practice, from user interviews and insight synthesis to designing clear, intuitive interactions. I approach design with curiosity, strategy, and a commitment to making technology useful in everyday life.

As I grow in UX, I am especially interested in language technology: experiences that help people communicate, learn across languages, and express themselves in ways that work for them. My Spanish studies and exposure to occupational therapy inform my interest in conversational interfaces, language learning, and assistive communication tools. I am drawn to collaborative, mission-driven teams building accessible products that support human connection. My goal is to bring thoughtful research and design to experiences that give people more ways to understand one another and be heard.

I design experiences that help people feel understood, connected, and empowered.
